Burned Out Mama
You have given everything you have — to your kids, your family, your job, your community. And somewhere in the process of taking care of everyone else, you stopped taking care of yourself.
This isn't a personal failing. This is burnout. And you deserve more than just pushing through it. You deserve someone looking out for you, too.
What Mom Burnout Feels Like
Constant Overwhelm
Waking up already feeling drained before the day has even started.
Feeling like there is never enough time, energy, or space for yourself.
Emotional Reactions
Feeling resentful of the people you love most, and then feeling guilty for feeling that way.
Feeling emotionally reactive in ways that don't feel like you.
Loss of Joy
No longer having energy for the things that used to make you feel alive.
Feeling numb, checked out, or like you're just going through the motions.
Isolation & Escape
Crying in the car or the shower because it's the only space that's yours.
Feeling like you are carrying all of it, and doing it completely alone.
The Weight of Expectations
For Black and Brown mothers, burnout is rarely just personal. It is cultural. You may have grown up watching the women around you sacrifice everything without complaint… and internalized that as the standard you're supposed to meet.
You are parenting, working, caregiving, and showing up for your community — often in systems that were never designed to support you. That is an enormous amount to carry. And the fact that you've been carrying it this long isn't proof of your strength. It's proof that you've been doing it without the support you deserve.
Burnout is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign that it’s time to prioritize you, and it's worth listening to.

You Don't Have to Earn Rest
You are allowed to be a full person, not just someone's mom.
Rest is not a reward for finishing everything on your list. It is something you are allowed to receive simply because you are human and because you matter — not just to the people who need you, but to yourself.
You don't have to keep running on empty to prove your love. You don't have to disappear to be a good mom.
We’ve Got You, Mama
At Reclaiming Our Wellness, we help moms experiencing burnout do more than just recover — we help them rediscover who they are beyond the roles they carry. Through therapy, we create space for you to release the mental load, set boundaries that actually stick, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that got lost along the way.
You've taken care of everyone else for long enough. You are allowed to take up space here.
